Hey everyone! Long time, right!? We have been on the go-go-go! We took a trip to Tennessee in September to see my family and take in the scenery! We got a few pics of Adalyn from that trip and I will post them below. We had to take Adalyn to the doctor last week because she was running 102 fever. That was no fun. After less than 48 hours, the fever went away! At the doc, they weighed her and she was a WHOPPING 18lbs 6 oz! She's huge! : ) She began crawling around 10 1/2 months, and is now going from room to room to room to room....hopefully, I can finally lose the rest of my baby weight from chasing her! She is now trying to say uh-oh and dances with every song that comes on in her presence. I will try and get a video of that soon to post! She can show us that she is 1, well, she will be in three weeks! We are having a baby costume party on Halloween! HOW FUN! She still thinks her Lolee is stinkin hilarious and we love it! I am making this short because I will be posting more after her 1st birthday!

Adalyn Love went to the doc last Friday for her 9 month check up....Stats are listed below:

Weight: 17lbs 12oz (25-30%)
Length: 26 inches (5%)

She is little and we love it!! She has come so far in the last couple months. She is eating all baby foods (level 2 and 3), puffs, tiny pieces of cheese, yogurt, and I am about to start giving her tiny pieces of green beans! Just this week she finally got the hang of drinking from a sippy cup. She is still on the bottle when drinking milk but she drinks ice water from the sippy cup with her food. She still occasionally says ba ba and da da but now she is saying "WOW" a lot more. I realized that I say WOW all the time...so did she pick it up from me? Or is it just easy to say?! We are working on "uh-oh." She adores all of her grandparents, Grammy, PawPaw, Lolee and Larbear! Lolee and Larbear call themselves, "grandparents in the box." They live in Beaumont so we try to skype them once a week! Ady is not crawling forward, but pushes backwards. She mostly gets around on her hiney. She will be in one spot and we look again, and she is half way across the floor, still in sitting position. Although not crawling, I am working with her and will put her in the crawling position, up on her knees....she walks herself with her hands back up into the sitting position. I guess that's her favorite! We are traveling to TN in two weeks to see her great aunt, great uncle, and grandma great! She can't wait for the 6 hour and 8 hour car rides! Ugh! Oh yeah, I started a new job, working much closer to home, less hours, and only 4 days a week. So, she and I get to spend much more time together! And it's at Keystone Church!! I love it!! Now what you really want to see is pictures!!!!!

Adalyn Love had her 7 month (6 month) checkup on Friday! Here are the stats!!

The nurse practitioner loved her chubby thighs..I think Adalyn appreciated that. ha! Ady seemed to do much better with the female nurse than with her male doctor. Lately, we have noticed that any man with a deep voice scares her!! Sorry Shaun and Justin! She is still not eating a ton of solids, but the nurse thinks she will come around to them in the next month or so. The nurse wants us to give her meat before her next appointment....EEK! MEAT?!!? Baby food meats look terrible! Ady is really enjoying her toys more...she likes to sit up with all of them displayed in front of her....she also thinks the dogs are toys too! I haven't decided who likes playing with the toys more....Ady or her Daddy?! Notice the pics below?!

Her first tooth is still working it's way up! It's out, just not all the way up! Not much to blog about right now...but here are her most recent pics!

Adalyn Love is now 6 1/2 months! I think it's funny when we go out and people say "oh, she's big for 6 months!" It's funny to me because she came home at 4 lbs 11 oz....smallest baby I have ever held! She is doing great! What's new??! Hmmm....well, we love our sitter! Have I mentioned that?! She is such an answer to prayer! Adalyn loves her too! Ady is sitting up pretty well...we still have to be there to monitor as she will fall side to side or back eventually. She definitely notices bottles now and reaches for them and draws them to her mouth! If I can ever get her to eat solids, she likes all veggies and bananas so far! I can't get her to eat cereal, and she's really not eating much of the other stuff! She still prefers the "ba ba" Our sitter is working on getting her to say "B" words because Adalyn is always making "B" sounds with her mouth! She still is not rolling a ton, but I have seen her do it twice from her back to her tummy! She is much more into toys than she used to be..in fact, right now, she is sitting in her dad's lap, and together, they are playing with all the new toys. Good thing for Adalyn, I think her dad is just as much into them! HAVE I TOLD ANYONE SHE HAS HER FIRST TOOTH?!?!? Pretty sure I called, texted and facebooked about it right when I found it! ha ha! It's still just a little sliver but it's sharp! We found her tooth on Mother's Day! There are a couple of pics below from Mother's Day! The others are from Bath time, Grammy's Birthday and Main Street Days in Grapevine. We went with our awesome friends, Ben, Holly, and Reid! Reid and Adalyn both did GREAT!! Enjoy these pics!

I have been keeping up with Stellan on MyCharmingKids.net. He was born on the same day as my Ady Love and has a heart condition. All of this hits so close to home. My sister died from a heart condition when she was 4. I have seen what my mom has had to go through with a sick child and I can sympathize with McKmama (Stellan's mommy). I read on her blog and twitter every day, waiting for updates on his condition. It goes in and out of being good and bad.....I have never prayed so much in my life or cried so much for someone that I don't know. I have even been depressed over this.... Josiah has been concerned that reading this blog is taking away my joy for my own child....and with that, I have to say "I am SO BLESSED! Thank you Lord for your many blessings."

I do have to say that yesterday I was thinking about Stellan and reading more of his blog. Yesterday was hard! He is in a hospital bed, asleep most of the time, and he is witnessing to more people than I am. I am awake and can leave my house whenever I want and I am around non-believers all the time!!! I should be doing everything I can to win people over to the Kingdom! "Lord, I want to be bold! I want to focus my mind and my heart on You! Draw me close."

Hey everyone! It's been a long time since the last post! So here goes with the updates:
Adalyn is over 14 lbs now! Woo hoo! What a big girl! She's come a long way from 4lbs 15.5oz! She loves all of her new friends, Brielle, Reid, London, Grayson Brooks, and Isabella! Shout out! Her new favorite songs are "Jesus Loves Me", "Do, Re, Mi," and "I am a CHRISTIAN." And I sing scales to her as we put on her peejys (pjs). Josiah promises me that she can already match pitch! ha! Wishful thinking! Adalyn starts going to childcare this Thursday. My mom has been up here for two months to watch her and is leaving this week....sad times for both of us! We were both getting emotional last night! aaaahh!! Adalyn is sleeping in her crib every night minus the off night here and there! She is just now rolling side to side! She loves to put everything in her mouth! She is a drooling machine! Could a tooth be pushing its' way through?!?! Now for the most important part: PICTURES!!!! These are from 5 months!

Time to brag on my little "Love" and give a warning to my new mom friends

I decided two nights ago to start putting Adalyn in her crib. I figured we needed to do it at some point and I think the earlier the better for her sake....not for mine....I was a little sad!! : ) Anyway, two nights in a row, she has put herself to sleep in her crib, slept in the crib all night, and not eaten until the next morning....IS THIS THE NEW TREND?!?! Will she be easier to put down at night, sleep in her own room, and sleep a full 10 hours?!?! Way to go baby girl!!

On a side note, I decided to take the adorable bumpers out of her crib! The bumpers are seriously the cutest part of her bedding....here's the reason why: The first night she slept in her crib, I woke up at 1:30am and looked at the video monitor next to my bed. I couldn't see her face and knew that she probably had it smushed into her bumpers. This is what she does. She likes to turn her head and stretch it backwards until it touches something, and it helps her go to sleep! When I went in there, I was right! I could not even see her face because it was in the bumpers....this scared me pretty bad! I pulled her to the middle of the bed and put her passy in....she was fine. Yesterday, I went and bought breathable crib bumpers that are mesh like material. She can breathe through them if she puts her face up against them and they keep her from getting her arms and legs stuck between the rails.....

These don't fit perfectly in her crib, but I recommend these to anyone who is losing sleep at night worrying about their little one. I totally believe in God's protection and His will....however, I also believe that nighttime is Satan's domain and he will use it to scare us into no sleep!! And I need all the sleep I can get right now.

PRAISE GOD FOR CHILDREN! THEY ARE AMAZING GIFTS FROM HIM!!!

3 great things that happened last night!!

Adalyn is now 15 weeks. I helped host a shower last night for Holly and her son Reid....I seriously go to church with the most amazing women!! Josiah and Ady's Gramby watched her last night. They said she did pretty great however when I was pulling into the neighborhood, they called me and I could hear her "singing" in the background. Poor girl was hungry!!! The three great things that happened last night are listed below:

1. Adalyn last ate at at 9:45pm last night and did not eat again until 7:45am this morning (10 hours)!!!

2. We put Adalyn in her pack n play last night wide awake, and she put herself to sleep.

3. She slept from 10:45pm last night until 7:45am this morning (9 hours)!!!

Adalyn slept from 10pm last night to 6am this morning in her pack n play!! 8 hours!! She then ate and went back to sleep until 9:30am....this girl was tired!! She never got a good nap in yesterday...cat naps all day long! Pray that this continues to happen as I will be going back to work in a little over two weeks. I did nurse her to sleep last night. I am trying to get her out of that habit. Let me know if you have any tips! Here are some more recent pics below. She is now three months old and we just got out her baby pod to help strengthen her back....Maybe she will be sitting up at 4 months. Ha Ha!! I stuffed some diapers in the side of the pod because she was leaning to the left!

4 weeks left until I return to work

I am having the hardest time thinking about going back to work... I literally have spent almost every hour with Adalyn since she was born. This is soooo hard. To any of my friends who look at my blog, please PRAY for me. Pray for my mom who is coming to watch her for two months. Pray for the lady watching her after that. Pray for my peace and that I will give it over to GOD completely! I always try and give things to HIM and always find myself taking them back!

Today has been interesting....not rough, but interesting. Adalyn has done some pretty heavy crying sessions today. Just two or three times, she has cried like I have never heard before. I think she's tired. She's sleeping now, passy is in, so we will see how long it lasts. Pray that it's just today.

Adalyn Love....11 weeks

Adalyn Love is 11 weeks old which means I only have 5 weeks left at home with her!! Oh my, how the time has flown by!! Here are the updates: Adalyn is smiling sooooo much!!! The smile starts with her eyes, so even if she has a passy in, we can tell when she is grinning!! ha ha!! And praise the Lord, we found a passy that she will take! Since we found this passy, she skips her 2 am feeding. YEAH for Mommy!! She is starting to make more baby noises and her voice sounds very girly (high pitched). She has found her tongue (see pics below), and it's always outside of her mouth, so funny!! Her two favorite times of the day are waking up next to mommy and when daddy gets home from work...seriously, it's when she is smiling the most! Right now, we are working on getting her out of our bed and into her big baby crib...let me know if you have any helpful tips! No more newborn clothes for this baby! She now weighs 10lbs 10oz and is 21 and 3/4 inches long! Her height is still in the 12%, so we think she will be on the shorter side! On Monday, she had her two month shots....had her passy in her mouth when the doc gave her the first shot, and her eyes were the biggest I have ever seen....kind of like a cartoon!! As soon as I picked her up, she was fine. Josiah was the one with tears welled up in his eyes and ready to punch the doctor for making his baby cry. He was supposed to be there as moral support for me! All is well in Reneau Reality!

Life has been an incredible whirlwind for us the past 8 weeks...and I mean INCREDIBLE! Our little girl has rocked our world! Adalyn is 8 weeks old and has started sleeping 4 - 5 hour shifts (at times), smiling, making bigger baby coos, and sucking her thumb. Both our lives completely revolve around this little girl now!Her two favorite songs are "The wheels on the bus" and "Jingle Bells". Being held is her favorite past time, and being in the car seat is her least favorite. She is able to wear some 0-3 month clothes now and is quickly growing out of the newborn pajamas. She has been to church twice, and we tell her everyday how much Jesus loves her.

I am 31 weeks along in my pregnancy and yesterday I had a 4D ultrasound done at Window to the Womb in Southlake, TX. I really just wanted it to make sure that we were still having a girl, and WE ARE!!! Here are some of the face pictures we got! Our technician was chuckling at how chubby her cheeks seem to be. My mom said I was born with 7 lbs of cheeks!! The pics weren't real clear and she had her hands up either in her face or in her mouth the whole time! CLICK ON PICS TO MAKE THEM LARGER! ENJOY!!!!

I love this one! The ultrasound tech kept shaking my belly, trying to get her to move her hands, and she threw us the peace sign....like, I give up mom, peace, peace!!

I love this one too! You can really see the profile of her nose and her chubby cheek. Also, she is sucking on her hand so you can see her top lip really well!!

In this one, you can see her little hand and fingers in the lower right hand of the picture.

The next two, you can see her little lips better because her hands aren't in her mouth! We think she has my mouth shape, but really, who can tell at this point!

Nursery....not quite finished

Below are pics of the nursery furniture and bedding....We still have to get a different comforter for the twin bed...probably a sage green comforter that goes to the floor...no bed skirt. The silver items on the tray were mine when I was a baby and the rocker was my moms.....also, from when I was a baby. I still have to add shelves and her name to the wall, and I have to cover the middle of the white curtain rod with material. The last pic is the dress and bonnet that I would like to have her in for her 6 month pictures...probably outside somewhere on a bench. What do you think?

Nursery

We have started to work on Hiccup Love's nursery. My parents are coming the first weekend of August with our crib, changing table/dresser, rocker, twin bed, and piano. My parents suggested we go ahead and paint before furniture was put into room, so we said "we are off on Friday, so we'll do it when we get back from Chicago!" Friday morning, we put on our grubbies and went to Home Depot. Still not knowing exactly what color we wanted to paint, we brought some of the bedding with us to help with the decision. Green, Yellow, or Mocha......these were our options. There is no brown in the bedding, but I picked the crib and changing table based on having mocha walls.....so, we found "light mocha." Kind of a pinky/browny, chocolate ice cream kind of color. The bedding is cream/pink toile, green, pink, yellow, and cream plaid, and cream, pink, green checked. .... The bed and changing table are almond with brown rubbed in, kind of shabby chic looking. I taped the edges of walls, and Josiah painted.....Unfortunately, I could not help much with the painting (fumes). Here are pictures of the room so far! PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!! Next weekend, my mom and I will work on getting all of the bedding set up, and I will post more pics!!

I have been feeling the baby move like crazy! It is so amazing to feel a little jab here and there, knowing it's probably her sweet little foot or knee! ha ha! Also, this past Saturday, Josiah was able to feel her for the first time. Ever since then, he has started talking more to her. I will let you know the first song he sings to her. I hope it will be the lullaby he started to write in college!! He has been adding to it since he found out we were having a girl. It goes something like this: "Close your eyes my sweet baby, evening's over the day. The sun is set free, again. Let your thoughts drift away............. Rest your head, "Love", My Darling. Soon, your sweet dreams will come. Lay your head on your pillow. Now the daylight is gone." But to hear HIM sing it brings tears to my eyes....honestly, it is beautiful.

During our ultrasound, we saw her opening her mouth to swallow fluid (which is a good thing). As we were watching her, she got the hiccups (also a good thing) and it made her entire body bounce. Josiah thought this was sooooooooooo adorable so her nicknamed her "Hiccup." So, for right now, her name is "Hiccup!"

That's right! We had our 20 week appointment today with ultrasound and saw that we are having a sweet little girl!!! I could not be more thrilled!!! Josiah was shocked but he's very excited! He loved seeing my face when the doctor told us. She said that everything else was looking good...brain, kidneys, stomach, bladder.......and heart. The sweet little heart and its' four chambers. Many of you don't know that I had a sister. Her name was Autumn Love and she died when she was four. She had only 2 chambers in her heart. It was an answer to our prayers to see that our little baby "Love" had four. We are going to use the middle name Love in honor of my sister. Also, my mom has this middle name and other aunts and cousins. We don't know the first name yet, but will let you know when we decide! Please continue to pray for our little one. My due date is still November 17!!!

Hey everyone! So sorry I am not good at this blogging thing yet! The truth is, I haven't really taken any belly pics, so there aren't any pic updates really. However, I did have a 16 week apt on June 2, 2008 and the baby had a heartbeat of 154....that was exciting!! Also, I started feeling the baby move that same week...felt like popcorn popping in my tummy, butterflies, hunger pains...It's pretty incredible! My sonogram is July 2 and that's when we find out what we are having. This is our first and either way, we are thrilled!!! I am 17 weeks this week, and I promise to go home, take a pic of myself, and post it on here! Thanks to everyone who has commented so far. Thanks for being excited with us!! You will be hearing more soon....PROMISE!!!

If you can't read the results of the test we are holding, then let me tell you. It's positive!! That's right!! Josiah and I are going to be parents. I am due November 17, right before Thanksgiving. Every year we are very thankful to the Lord for His many blessings, but I think this year will be even more special! Although this is a very exciting time for us, we need all of your prayers as we will not know what the heck we are doing! Ha! Imagine, the Lord putting us in charge of a human being, a human soul..... Josiah and I want everyone to know that we became Christ followers when were kids. We both have our parents to thank for sharing the "TRUTH" with us through their prayers and conversations with us, and most importantly, by their example. Please pray with us that this child will learn, believe, and except this "TRUTH." Pray that we will be that same light to them as our parents were for us. I will post more later and some pics of my ever growing body, yes, my body, it's not just my belly..... That's all folks!

Financial Peace University

We have joined Dave Ramsey's 13 week course, Financial Peace University. It all started with the help of my parents.....they told us about Dave, encouraged us to attend his live event, bought us the tickets to his live event, and we went!
